Volunteers are set to bring one of Falkirk district’s most historic buildings to life later this month.
Members of The Friends of Kinneil charity will deliver guided tours around Kinneil House in Bo’ness at a free open day on Sunday, June 26.
The mansion – dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries – boasts some of the best renaissance wall paintings in Scotland.
A Friends’ spokesman said: “We have fantastic volunteer guides who are always keen to show visitors around. Kinneil boasts amazing artworks and great history. Hopefully lots of local people will visit during the free open day on June 26. The House will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the last admission at 3.30 p.m.”
The House is the centrepiece of Kinneil Estate, a public park on the western edge of the town.
