Historic Kinneil House in Bo’ness kicks off its 2016 season of open days with FREE tours on Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to noon (last admission 11.30 a.m.)
The morning opening is part of a series of support events for this year’s Hippodrome Festival of Silent Cinema, which runs at the nearby Hippodrome Cinema in Bo’ness.
The Hippodrome is Scotland’s oldest purpose-built cinema, opened in 1912.
You’ll find out more about the Festival, and the local area, on the main website – www.hippfest.co.uk
Kinneil House was built in the 16th and 17th centuries and boasts some of the best renaissance wall paintings in Scotland.
The open morning has been organised by The Friends of Kinneil in association with Historic Environment Scotland.
Dates for other 2016 open days at Kinneil will be revealed in the next few weeks.
