Kinneil House, Bo’ness – on the line of the Roman Antonine Wall (a World Heritage Site) – is open for free tours on Saturday, April 18, 2015 and Sunday, April 19, 2015.
The House will be open from noon to 3 p.m. (last admission 2.30 p.m. each day).
There will be a costumed interpreter (not Roman!), giveaways, walks from Historic Scotland’s Ranger Service and free access to Kinneil Museum (beside the House) on both days. The afternoon events have been organised to mark World Heritage Day (April 18) and the first anniversary of the launch of the John Muir Way. The Roman Antonine Wall – a World Heritage Site – runs through the grounds of Kinneil, as does the 134-mile Way.
