Kinneil makes ‘Walk of the Week’ in Scotland on Sunday – again!

JOURNALISTS love to tempt visitors to Kinneil. Today (19 January, 2014) Scotland on Sunday’s Spectrum magazine names Kinneil House and the neighbouring Foreshore area as its Walk of the Week.

This follows similar stories in 2012, 2011 and 2010 in the Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday. Kinneil also featured in SoS’s “Great Scottish Heritage Walks” supplement in 2006. There was also a mention in 2007.

Other newspapers have also featured articles on Kinneil. In 2009, the Glasgow-based Herald dubbed the estate as one of Scotland’s most spookiest places. We’ve also featured in the Observer – and, more recently, in the posh Independent newspaper in a story on volunteering. And there’s more on the BBC website too. It seems the media love to write about Kinneil – and we thank them for their support.

In 2013, Martin Gray, writing in the Scotsman magazine, said: “Kinneil House has free open days during the year, organised by Historic Scotland and the charity, The Friends of Kinneil. It was cold when we visited, but the welcome from the volunteers was as warm as you could wish for.”

There are also some lovely amateur reviews online, via sites like Tripadvisor.
