Museum re-opens at Kinneil

23kinneilmuseum-rgb-300dpiKinneil Museum in Bo’ness re-opens after the Christmas/New Year break tomorrow (Thursday, Jan 3). It’s then back to the usual opening hours of 12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays. Admission is free – and the museum’s a great place to warm up after a winter walk around the stunning Kinneil Estate.

Talking of which, a walk is the ideal thing to start and burn off all those festive calories. If you want company, join the health walks re-starting in Kinneil next week. They usually run three times a week and are free to join. Details and a video at: www.kinneil.org.uk/walk

January was the birthday of one of Kinneil’s most famous occupants – the inventor James Watt. The Friends of Kinneil charity is having a James Watt Supper (a twist on the usual Burns’ affair) on January 18. It’s for Friends of Kinneil members – but non-members can always join and attend!
