MORE than 150 people braved the rain and came along to Kinneil Museum in Bo’ness tonight to join in the “Night at Kinneil Museum”. They met Romans, saw part of a new film about the Antonine Wall, enjoyed music from UNISON Kinneil Band – and were treated to a history walk in the surrounding Kinneil Estate. The evening was organised as part of the Festival of Museums and Museums at Night initiatives.
A big thank to everyone who came along – plus the helpers who gave up their Friday night to make this community-backed initiative such a success. The evening was organised by The Friends of Kinneil charity with the support of Falkirk Community Trust – and funding from Museums Galleries Scotland.
Everyone who visited the Museum was offered a free goodie bag to take home. The good news is that there are still some bags left to claim. Pop into Kinneil Museum on Saturday from 12.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to claim yours. They’re free of charge.
We’ve also posted up some pictures from tonight’s event. Click on the small images below to see larger shots. Enjoy.
