GIVING feedback on Kinneil Estate and Foreshore has its rewards. Christine Johnston, of Deanfield Road in Bo’ness, has a £50 voucher to spend in Tesco.
The Friends of Kinneil organised a free prize draw to encourage people to respond to a recent survey – and Christine was delighted to be drawn from all the names given. Friends’ chair Maria Ford said: “Christine was speechless when I gave her the good news and explained that she has never won anything before.”
The charity asked people in Deanfield about Kinneil Estate and Foreshore as part of a major consultation exercise, carried out last year. The results and final report are available online at www.kinneil.org.uk/deanfield
Funding for the consultation project was secured through the Growing Communities Fund, a small grants programme aimed at helping local groups and people in regeneration areas to become more involved in their communities. The fund is managed locally by CVS Falkirk and District – using cash from the Scottish Government’s Fairer Scotland Fund.
