KINNEIL Estate features in a new documentary being screened at the Bo’ness Hippodrome Cinema tomorrow Saturday (March 26).
“The Coal Road” tells the history and legacy of mining in and around Bo’ness. Produced by the town’s Sanctus Media – and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Bo’ness Community Council and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust – it features a cast of local people telling their stories.
The film was shot around Bo’ness, including in Kinneil Estate. It also features the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway.
Bo’ness Councillor Adrian Mahoney, who appears in the film, said: “The Coal Road was sold out when it was first shown in the Hippodrome earlier this year. Many people asked for a repeat screening – and for a showing at the weekend. I’m really pleased that the Hippodrome team have managed to slot it back into the schedules. It’s a great little movie and a credit to the producers.”
The film plays at the Hippodrome on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. For more information, visit www.falkirk.gov.uk/hippodrome
