THE first of five free open days at Kinneil House is set to take place.
The historic mansion will be open for free tours on April 24 and 25, 2010. Further open days will be held on June 27, August 29, and October 31. Free access will be available from noon to 4 p.m. each day (3 p.m. on October 31) – last admission 30 minutes before closing. Neighbouring Kinneil Museum will also be open for each of the special days.
Normally, visitors can only tour the grounds of the House and visit the museum. The special open days, organised by Historic Scotland, and The Friends of Kinneil, allow local people and visitors to have a peek inside this A-listed mansion.
