New film on World Heritage site

A NEW video on the Antonine Wall – which runs through Kinneil Estate in Bo’ness – is now available. You can download it from a Austrian website (the film is in English) or can stream or download the file (in Windows Media format) by clicking (or right clicking to download) this link.

The file is 185mb in size and will take a minute or two to start playing through a broadband internet connection.

The film follows the Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site, of which the Antonine Wall is part.

The Antonine Wall became part of the Frontiers World Heritage site in July 2008. Although the turf wall – once 12 ft high – has been flattened out in Kinneil Estate, part of the structure – and the remains of a Roman fortlet – can be seen in the parkland to the west of Kinneil House.

Visit our Attractions page to find out more about the Roman Fortlet and the rest of Kinneil Estate.
