Happy New Year from The Friends of Kinneil

Happy New Year from The Friends of Kinneil. We hope you’ve had a great festive season. This year promises to be busy for Kinneil Estate and The Friends of Kinneil.

** FREE WINTER WALKS
The year will kick off with a series of free walks around the estate – just the thing to blow away those cobwebs, and walk off all those mince pies. The walks will run three times a week, starting on January 14. Full details are on our website.

** BRUNCH AND TALK ON KINNEIL
Historian Ian Scott is doing two talks on the history of Kinneil Estate at Callendar House in Falkirk in January. It’s part of a season organised by Falkirk Council. There may still be a few seats left. Details on the Council website.

** KINNEIL HOUSE OPEN DAYS
We’re currently talking to Historic Scotland about open days and opening times for Kinneil House for 2008 – as soon as we get these we’ll let you know. P.S. Remember Kinneil Museum is open Monday to Saturday (12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.) throughout the winter months. The Museum re-opens after the New Year break on Thursday.

** NEW WEB CONTENT AND FEATURES
The Kinneil Estate website continues to get lots of new content and features.
From our homepage at http://www.kinneil.org.uk/  you can go on a virtual tour inside the house, see our video, and download documents and guides from our attractions page.

** NEW ONLINE STORES
We’ve also added a special page allowing people to shop at big name online stores – and automatically pass on commission to The Friends of Kinneil. The cost is the same as going directly to these online retailers, so you can bag a bargain and we can earn some money to continue our work promoting Kinneil Estate (at no extra cost to you). Plus many online retailers have sales on just now.
